The Question

Jennie walks up to Dave and puts her hands over his eyes. “ I want to ask you something” she says to him. Jennie slowly moves one hand down to his lips and holds a finger there to make sure he doesn’t talk and walks around to be in front of Dave. “I need you not to think about your answer but tell me what you feel. And please don’t tell me what you think I need to hear” Dave nods in agreement and waits for the question. “Do you miss me?” Jennie asks quickly as if she knew if it wasn’t said fast enough she would never get the words to leave her trembling lips. Dave just looked at her for a moment and then his eyes went down to face the ground. Dave sighed and said quietly “everyday”. They both looked at each for a moment and knew that the time that they spent together still tore them apart on the inside. She knew that time may make the pain dull but that the longing is always there. Jennie looked Dave right in the eyes and said, “Well at least I’m not alone”

Telling it like it is

After a long night with parting with Jennie and the gang, Ryan was driving back to his house when his phone rang. It was MJ just calling to see what he had been up to lately since he hadn’t heard from him. Ryan started by telling him about the events that just happened at the drink party he was just at and how much fun he had just goofing around with Jennie. “She’s really fun and she’s playful which is great when you’re both fucking drunk” MJ just stayed quiet thought the explanation that Ryan gave. “She’s pretty strong too she had me pinned to the floor a few times but not stronger than me cause I flipped her and had her pinned more times than she did me. She just laughed and bite me.” “She had us rolling half the night. She really was in her element with her friends. “At this point MJ was just like “are you going to talk about anything else other then Jennie?” Ryan noticed the change in MJ’s tone and stopped talking about Jennie but finished by saying, “OK I won’t talk about her but I will tell you that Bro you fucked that up, you would have loved her."

Behave

Jennie walks into the lobby and says hello to a friend on her way out of work that day. Her friend Joe greats her and asks her how she is doing and she “alright” and she hears her response echo like someone is mocking her. She was sure it wasn’t Joe but where was the voice coming from. As she walked out more, she looked up and saw Ted standing there. Jennie looks up at him and says “Really? You can’t talk to me when I am downstairs but from the second floor balcony you can speak. Do we need to be this far away before you can talk to me?” he looks at her and says “no in a very y matter of fact way. Ted was always good for those statements. He is a hard man to read and even harder to crack.

“So I hear you won’t be here tomorrow. Is there any way you can switch so you can be?” she asked. Ted looked at her and knew what she meant. Jennie didn’t want the replacement who they would be sending to be there he kind of gave her the creeps last time he was in. Ted just looked at her and said “no but that really was freaky what he said I can be freaky too”. Jennie cut him off before he could finish and said “ yeah but ya know it’s ok to be freaky you just need to keep it under wraps until you know the other person can handle it. They both nodded in agreement and ended that cryptic conversation. As they spoke more people had been coming I the door and Joe had to do his job to check them and make sure the building remained secure. Jennie just smiled as Ted watched from above and didn’t come down to help Joe.

Jennie looked up and him grinned and said “Behave” and he got this evil grin on his face and said in a low sexy voice “Never, you just need to not get caught”. Jennie giggled and walked out of the building.

The Craziness

Chris grabs his phone and texts Jennie. He looks across the room to where she is sitting and she didn’t move. Maybe she didn’t hear it. Hmmm he thinks to himself. If I call her, she will hear it and look at the message. He dials her number. Soon after, he hears a song that brings a smile to his face. Jennie has his favorite band has his ringer. He can hear the beat but can’t pick out to the song until he hears “I can’t get no satisfaction” play. He laughs as she picks up the phone and he quickly hangs up. She sees there is a message and looks at it. It reads, “Meet me outside, you go first.” Jennie looks over at Chris wondering what’s going on and he just smiles and winks at her. Jennie looks over to her friends at the table she’s at and says, “I need to call this one back I’ll be right back” and walks out of the diner.

A few minutes later Chris gets us from the table and walks towards the front door. He sees her sitting there on the curb waiting for him. She hears the door open, sees him there, smiles, and says “hey”. He walks over to her and offers his hand to help her to her feet. As she gets up, he continues to hold her hand in his.

“So what’s up” she asks. “Nothing really I just wanted to see you” he replies. She looks over at him with a raised eyebrow, “I was sitting in there too ya know, all of a few seats over” she replied in a joking tone. “Are you always gonna bust my balls” he laughs. “Ummmm yes, have you met me I’m Jennie pleasure to meet you” she laughs as he hip checks her about 2 feet.

By this time they have walked half way around the building where they can’t be seen by any of their friends. He pulls her in for a quick kiss. “You know I like this whole sneaking around thing,” she says. “why” he asks. “I get you all to myself” she replies

They continue to walk back towards an apartment building and some tall bushes so they can be completely alone. Chris leads Jennie back to a small grassy area out of eyeshot of anyone they know. He wraps his arms around her, picks her up, spins her around, and kisses her sweetly. They both sit down and he gently lays her down on the ground and begins to kiss her. She stops kissing him, he pulls back, and before he can get a word in she says in a playful tone “tell me you’re crazy about me”. Chris looks at her and smiles. He responds in a flat emotionless tone “I’m crazy about you”. She sighs and replies

“You could at least kind of sound like you mean it”. “how about I show you,” he says and leans in putting his hand gently against her face and kisses her.

“Believe me now? Or was that not direct enough?” he asks before she can ever open her eyes. “You know you can be a real ass, ruining a beautiful moment and all,” she laughs as she playful smacks him. “You’re lucky I like you,” she adds. “Oh I see… just like, alright,” he says in a mellow way. “Shut up Chris you know I’ve been crazy about you since the first time you offered me your sweatshirt, what you should ask me is when I knew I felt more then just craziness..”

the question

“Jennie it’s not that simple, there is someone else in this that we have to think about” said Charlie

“ Don’t you think I know that, I’ve told you that all along for as long as I have known you. It’s always been more then just you and me but somehow we always end up in the same place.” Said Jennie frustrated “I mean hell even that damn song on the cd says “you and me and all the people” that’s been us since day one, more then us.”

“I know” he says and looks away with sad eyes

“ Tell me something” Jennie turns his face back towards her “ tell me you don’t love me enough to change this and we can end this cycle once and for all. It’s up to you it’s always been up to you”

About time

About time

Standing closer to each other then they had in almost the whole time they have known each other, Jennie and Chris just talked as if they hadn’t in years. Jennie said something to him not overly fumy or special but the kind of thing that warms your heart. Chris looked down at her and ran his thumb over her cheek as he lifted her chin so she was looking right up at him. He leaned down to her and kissed her. Jennie seeming very surprised just stood there for a moment as Chris read her reaction. He started to get nervous and back away. Jennie put her hand on his back and kept him from moving backward any further. She looked up at him “ do you…” she stopped as if she forgot what she was saying. She started again” do it again, just so I know it wasn’t a dream”. He smiled at her and said, “ Why would you think that?”. Jennie closed her eyes and admitted something she never planned to tell him “ do you have any idea how long I have wanted for you to do that?” at that very moment he kissed her with type of longing passion that only people who have truly spend time waiting would understand. After a time that seemed like forever had passed, he slowly pulled away from her and said “ about as long as I have”

Matter of Time

She looked him square in the eyes and said, " I'll wait". Chris looked at her puzzled "wait for what?" She just smiled at him took his cigarette and took a drag and returned it to him. " Until you figure out that there is some chemistry between us" The look on his face was priceless like for once someone call him on his actions and wasn't afraid to do it. "it's just a matter of time".

The Party

*hustle and bustle**clank of cups and bottles* Jennie entered the room to see Chris lifting a bottle to his lips. Jennie greeted him with a smile. “Hey there, what’s up?” He looks away from the bottle and lowers his eyes to her half-sinister smile. Jennie and Chris have always had a weird past of feelings never stated aloud. Chris isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed and has shown this over and over again in his complete emotional denial. “Hey” he responded in a low voice. Jennie loves the thrill of forcing conversation with Chris. He tries so hard to just avoid her while sober but when buzzed he’s a real gem to talk with. He has always been more honest with his intentions when his asshole tendencies are drowned.

Jennie smiles and sits down to the couch with Chris. “So how ya been Champ?” she said with a half giggle. “Alright I guess just living” he responded. Jennie was starting to notice the avoidance was still there so she went right for the heart of all touché subjects “so dating anyone?” She knew full well that if he were she would know about it. “No” he said sharply. “I don’t really know what to say when talking with girls” Jennie bites her lip all while thinking, “your telling me”.  “see now I don’t thinking it’s talking with girls that’s the problem,  you know how to talk you just seem to miss the signals women throw back at you” he looked puzzled at her. “Let me show you” she smiled. Jennie deviously thinking all the flirting techniques she had used on him that he missed. “Um ok” he replied hesitantly. “Women are touchy feely obvious flirts when they like someone; they flip their hair, laugh and touch you. That kind of stuff. We like the whole use of touch” She smiled again falling back into that place in her heart where she had intense feelings for him. She has always been drawn to his tough exterior despite her fear of his size over her.

As she begins to explain, she falls victim to her own explanation and places her hand on his knee. “Stand up” he looked at her laughed and did as she said. She stood up as well, and used him to steady herself. “Whoa” she laughs, “I guess the alcohol is kicking in”. He smiles and places his hands on her shoulders. “You know I should be sober when I am trying to teach” “I like you better this way” he remarked. She pushed him, laughed, “Jerk”. As she tried to hold her balance she noticed her Mary Jane's had come unbuckled and bent down to refasten them. All while doing so she questioned him “am I making sense though? You starting to follow what I mean about how simple it can be, you just need to take chance and feel a girl out and see where it goes” she stood up closer to him all of a few inches away and looked up at him. She wavered a little he grabbed her hip, placed his other hand on her back, and kissed her passionately. Her mind spun with thoughts and fears of returning to these feelings and her mind stopped when she heard a familiar voice speak as whomever it was stopped dead in their tracks “Um……?!?!?!”

It was Dave standing there dumbfounded at the sight of this girlfriend and one of his best friends kissing. Jennie just stared and sobered instantaneously. Dave turned and walked away. Chris went after him. Jennie soon heard some yelling and followed the noise out the back door to the patio to where the two men were yelling. All she heard was Dave saying, “she’s my girlfriend” in the moral tone that shook Jennie to her core. Chris starts to argue with Dave. Jennie interrupts “Chris go inside” he looked at the fire in her eyes and left.
Dave turns away and learns with his elbows on the handrail facing the dimly lit yard. “Dave can we talk” Jennie asked cautiously. Dave just looked at her briefly and looked back into the yard.
“It didn’t mean anything, you should know that”
He looked at her and replied “and why should I know that?”
“Because you should,” she replied quickly
“Good answer” he said in an angry voice. And the conversation hit a deep silence and Dave began to walk away. “Because” she started to say slowly “I love you”, at this point her heart said something her head was petrified to admit to but truly meant. He stopped walking and turned to her with tears in his eyes. He grabbed her up in his arms and held her as if he would never let her go. He looked into her eyes and said “ you know if you were anyone else I would just walk out of here but I know in my heart that would be biggest mistake I would ever make”

The cd

Today being like no other day Jennifer walks into work about 10 minutes before her shift starts and begins to settle in. She set up her laptop while her coworker was packing up her school books. Her coworker turns to her and said “hey Jenn, someone stopped by and dropped something off for you, it’s in your mailbox”. Jennifer looked at her puzzled and wondered who it might have been, she wasn’t expecting anything. She went to her mailbox and there was a cd sitting in there. There was nothing written on the cd just blank. Her curiosity led her to ask “Who was it, did they say” Her coworker had no answer for her just saying it was left on the desk from the shift before hers so she had put it in her mailbox. Jennifer sat down and waited for her computer to finish booting. She placed the cd into the drive and a familiar voice started coming from the speakers. “Hey Jenny, wait wait please hear me out before you make this cd into a coaster. In the hopes that you are still listening I am so sorry for all that happened between us. I miss you. It’s not the same with out you around. You use to take my breath away; I never really could breathe right when you came around. Despite what you think or how I have acted I love you, I have since day one.” Track one ended and music started playing and the voice started again singing this time. It was a song she knew he wrote about her. She had never heard it put to music or even sang for that matter. The cd continued in this fashion with songs about her or songs they use to enjoy together. Jennifer was in a mix of emotions. She knew in her heart she still had strong feelings for him and missed him terribly but she also isn’t a fool and remembers the pain he cause her when he picked up and left her. She thought o herself “I love him and maybe if I ever told him things would have been different”. She always did blame herself for him leaving but knew it wasn’t her fault really it was just bad timing.

the wake up

Jennifer lays comfortably in her bed. Sleeping with no cares in the world. She lays flat on her stomach with her long hair flowing all along her pillow. Like an angel she sleeps. Dreaming of her love. This day was unusual for Jennifer because she didn’t lock the door to her bed room. She was so tired she just laid down and was out for the count. In the far background there was a slight knock on the door not heard by Jennifer but by her roommate. Jennifer’s roommate lets the man in. A strong boxy looking gent with dark curly hair and sparkling blue eyes. He asks her where Jennifer is and when told she is sleeping shhhhs her roommate. He walks down the long hallway to Jennifer’s bedroom and walks in. The beautiful man sits down on the corner of her bed near her back and runs his fingers along her face bushing away some of her hair from her face. He leans over and gently kisses her cheek. Jennifer starts to awaken and as she does the man gently lays down beside her and wraps his one arm around her side and pulls her close. He knows she is easily scared and whispers in her ear “jenny it’s time to wake up” and kisses her once more on her cheek. Jennifer knowing instantly who it is turns slowly to her back and smiles. “ You know you are the most beautiful thing to wake up to” she says quietly

Daydream 7

Jennifer walks into a room and sees the man who makes her smile. She walks over to him and as she nears he smiles and says “hey you made it in time we are just about to start. Awesome!” Jennifer looks at him and grins from ear to ear. She wraps her arms around his slender figure and kisses his check. Jennifer waves to another of Drew’s band members and walks back so that she can watch the show. The band starts of with some really powerful songs that get the crowd going. The room is alive with people having a great time and soon the music turns to a slower pace and Drew takes the mic and slides his guitar to his back and starts talking, “This song goes out to a very special lady who came to see me tonight, thank you for being my normal girl”

Daydream 6

Alone in a dimly lit room Jennifer and Will leaned on her bed facing each other. He leaning just smidge higher than her. Will was looking down at Jennifer’s face with look of interest on his face. She looked at him and questioned him “what” she said. He kept looking at her and put his hand on her cheek gently and said to her “just admiring”.

Daydream 5

Jennifer was lying on couch next to this beautiful man. His eyes were so open that she could see right into his soul. He’s the type of guy that looks to be a deep as puddle yet she knows that there is more than what meets the eye. She loves being in his arms, the warmth radiates through her skin right to her heart. He runs his hands over her body and kisses her neck and smiles as he makes her squint in satisfaction. He knows he has her right where he wants her. Jennifer looks him right in the eyes and giggles she knows his game as well has he does. She kisses his neck and starts the roaming games. The two of them with there eyes closed let the passion of the moment overwhelm them and run with it. They allow one step to lead to another. The night begins to pass with each tender moment as the two fall deeper into each others grasp. Jennifer opens her eyes and looks at the man beside her and thinks to herself I never want to leave this moment. Too bad that’s not what the creaking step below his roommate’s foot had in mind.

Daydream 4

Jennifer sits back and with her hands behind her head leaning against the wall remembering a night. Jennifer looks at Brad’s face and thinks that he’s attractive and slightly hints to him that she thinks so. He just smiles at her and tells her with his eyes that he doesn’t mind looking at her either. They order another round of drinks and the flirting begins. She flips her hair and he just smiles while he tells jokes to keep her laughing. The two stay in this world of their own for hours as the drinks keep coming. As it starts to get late he suggests that they get going but knows neither of them are fit to drive so Jennifer offers that he come back to her place and crash there. They arrive to an empty apartment and she turns on the TV so that things won’t seem so quiet. They sit in her room watching TV and he starts to kiss her neck. Jennifer looks deep into his eyes for a cue on if what was happening was a good idea. She looks and with her love of passion she goes for it. Her eyes lock on his as she looks up at him. She notices his shoulders are so defined and hold great strength. She looks over every part of him and smiles as she remembers she is going to have to face him in class on Tuesday.

Daydream 3

She lays next to a friend one she has known for a short time. No talking, no unwanted noise. This friend however is different because he isn’t the type to cuddle with any girl that passes his way yet not too picky that the idea has never occurred to him. He lays next to Jennifer and puts his arm across her stomach and just holds her there like they are frozen in a moment of just simple quality time.

Daydream 2

Jennifer is sitting in a pool hall and from across the way she spots an old friend who she stopped speaking to. She tried to play it cool and see if he notices. He does and catches her attention while coming up behind her. “Hey Shortie” he walks over with his arms out. “Bradley” she says and jumps right into his arms and they hug like time has never passed between them.

Daydream 1

Jennifer lays around with her guy friend Steve watching some show that happens to be on the TV at the time. They just sit around passing the time talking to each other. Jennifer has had a thing for Steve for a while now. Steve lays with his hands behind his head and Jennifer lays next to him but not to close. He turns to her and goes “you know I love you”
She just stares at him while her insides are exploding knowing that she never knew that.
